Anyone else decided to remove Google Chrome already?
I've given it just 24 hours and, frankly, it's ****. I appreciate it's in beta testing, yet so is MSIE 8 and I've not come half the issues that Chrome appears to have - check this link as well! http://www.webpronews.com/topnews/2008/09/07/googl...
10 AnswersGoogle1 decade agoName of the restaurant on Wan Chai Road?
Can someone solve an argument for me - anyone from Hong Kong know what the name of the Thai restaurant/cafe is just up from the Charterhouse Hotel on Wan Chai Road, HK Island? I forgot to take a photo of it and I ranked it amongst the best meals I've had in years.
4 AnswersChina1 decade agoAutomating word documents in a a question/answer style?
I've been handed the thankless task of trying to remove mundane typos/errors from our word templates at work and to stop people messing around with them. Does anyone know of a website to help me out - the best solution I can see is for a question box to appear as soon as you open the document for editing. Depending on the user's answer, this is either inserted into the document at a key point or a separately stored paragraph of text is inserted. I've tried the ASK/FILLIN fields but I think they're more for mailmerging.
3 AnswersSoftware1 decade ago1996 Honda Accord parking brake cable?
Anyone know where I can get a hold of the left and right side parking brake cable for a UK spec 1996 Accord 2.0LSi estate? The chassis shows that it was American made (chassis CE2) and other than an extortionate amount being charged directly from Honda, there must be an off the shelf solution to getting a hold of what boils down to a couple of wires! There's a rake of cables on the US sites however it's not clear whether they'll fit or not - stll waiting on a response to my email.

7 AnswersQuotations1 decade agoHow can 1 = 0?
My dad once told me a story of his maths teacher being able to make 1 = 0 by a series of complex but accurate mathematics. Anyone know what it is? Or was his maths teacher on the 1950's equivalent of strange cigarettes?
15 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoWhat's the best exit no from the Hong Kong AEL station?
I'm staying at a hotel in the Wanchai area but it's still a good walk from the Wanchai or Causeway Bay MTR station. As I'll be loaded with luggage, I'm thinking a taxi from Hong Kong Station would be easier - anyone from HK reading this who can let me know the best exit number I need for the taxi rank?
5 AnswersChina1 decade agoAnyone know if a modem I have using the Intel 536EP v.92 chipset work with Vista?
According to the driverguide site, the 2002 driver works with the beta version, however no confirmation on the final version! I'm thinking I may have to change to a USR modem as they seem better supported from the USR website.
2 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agoHow much room do you need to park a car?
Parked my car at work the other week there and came back to find the rear bumper, tyre and wheel scored to pieces. Turns out it was a woman in a new 07 BMW who misjusdged her distance. There were two clear bays on either side of my car...
How much room do you need to park a car without striking another??

Who else gets really annoyed with those flashing or animated adverts that obliterate your view of a website when you're trying to read something more interesting? Does this form of marketing really allow a company to make money by thoroughly annoying all their customers?

What's the rules with regards helmets for children whilst skiing the "Big3" in Canada (i.e. Banff and Lake Louise areas)? Are they compulsory for under 12s or is that just for the ski school lessons?
4 AnswersWinter Sports1 decade agoMy auto sign in to Yahoo Messenger Beta is broken?
Since upgrading to YIM 8 Beta, my auto sign in doesn't work. Is there a registry fix I can do to resolve this or will I have to reinstall it from scratch yet again? It makes no difference if I click the auto sign in box or not, it's just not playing ball.
3 AnswersOther - Yahoo Messenger1 decade agohas anyone else had ZERO replies to a question on here?
Not a sniff of an answer - not even a stupid reply from someone! I ask a perfectly genuine question and 24 hours later, zilcho!! I wonder how long it will go on - guinness book of records here I come! :-)

Anyone know of a website where I can get a free pattern for the above jacket and vest? I'm trying to get one tailor made by a member of my family as off the shelf just won't do. Preferably a free one!! :-)

6 AnswersFashion & Accessories2 decades agoWhat would your reaction be?
What would your first thought or reaction be if a guy drives past late at night blasting his horn and shouting "I love you" out of the window? Saw it the other night and my female friends I was with decided to just flash them before continuing on their way!
20 AnswersPsychology2 decades agoWhy aren't other animals becoming more intelligent?
Humans evolved from chimps and chimps from other mammals and so on back to bacteria and single celled organisms. How come no other animals seem to be evolving to the point of being "intelligent" like us humans? Surely with us killing all the less intelligent animals over the years (road kill bunnies for example!), natural selection would favour animals that could outsmart us or be able to cross a road safely - eventually? Just a thought!

Is Hollywood on its way out?
This may just be my age showing, but every film I've seen in the last 8 or 9 years just hasn't quite cut the mustard with me. Sure, there's been some films worth watching to pass the time, but does anyone feel that the movies are becoming as badly made and marketed as the music industry has become over the same period - a kind of throw away movie world with bad acting and too much gloss?
14 AnswersMovies2 decades agoAre pharmaceutical companies releasing flu bugs on purpose?
Isn't is strange that you always get a cold or the flu (or some other common virus) just shortly before the adverts appear on TV for the latest cough syrup or winder cure? Are the big companies developing their own superbugs to increase their profits? I've never had so many colds as I have in the last 2 years and the one I've got right now I can't easily get rid of! Who knows what these guys get up to in their hidden labs and white coats!
