If you do not have headlights or horn most likely there is a battery or wiring problem, make sure your battery is good before going further. If the battery is showing 12.5 volts and you still have no lights or horn the problem would most likely be in the main feed. Make sure your battery terminals are tight, that the red wire to the starter is tight and not corroded, the black ground wire is securely attached and clean. After that has been done you will have to check fuses or fuse links. Often the fuse link which looks like a 6 inch piece of wire with a joiner is attached to the battery terminal of the starter or on accessory block near the battery. Check it for green corrosion around terminals, pull on it slightly to check the inside condition terminals.

I don't know mate but the same thing happened to me this morning in my Clio. Turned the engine on, went 200 yards down the road then it cut out. My lights flashed to sat something was wrong just as it cut out.

If it were your battery then the lights wouldn't come on. It may be an electrical fault. As your engine is still running, at least you can still get around.

Unless you know someone whose good with cars then you'll have to go to the garage.

Sounds like alternator or immobiliser. Get it checked out, it may be only a small electrical fault in your immobiliser or alarm

always stare by checking battery. Clean connections Jump start take to Auto zone or Advance and have alternator and battery checked
