After how long would you follow-up on a job interview that went well?

After an interview its best to follow up with a thank you note or card, within the first 48 AFTER interview.

Any correspondence, 2nd interview, Letter of Acceptance or Denial, is on the employer, not you.

So basically, the ball's in their court. Trust if you left an impression, that have not forgotten you.

I hope you sent a thank you letter to the interviewer immediately. This is very important, and it can make the difference between a second interview or not. If you did not, then do so at once! Good luck. I am also looking for employment so I understand the stress of waiting for a call back. There is nothing wrong with calling a week later (after the thank you) to follow up. Some companies will reward you for your persistence! Happy trails...

I would follow up within the next couple of days if you don't hear anything. Chances are they just got busy with everything and the interviews may be taking longer than they expected.

After an interview that has gone very well, I call andor email a thank you to them for giving me the interview. Then by the end of the week if I had not heard from them and they indicated that they were going to contact to me I would just follow up as to whether I had been selected for a second interview

You should defiantly follow up. Employers have a tendency to put new hires on the back burners so it would help greatly if you reminded them you were supposed to have a second interview. I would call ever week until you get your interview.

It is customary to send a note (NOT an e-mail) immediately after the interview, thanking them for the meeting and expressing continued interest in the position. If you neglected to do that, you had better take care of it at once, before followig up with a phone call!

it's been a week. better give them a call back. ask for the person who interviewed you. then this is what you say:

hi, my name is... i came in for an interview for (name of position) last week (give the date). i'm just following up to see if you have made a decision yet?

If they said 'next round' and in next set of interviews, I'd give them a few weeks since you may have been one of first interviewed

Send a quick email thanking them for the interview. It will politely remind them that you are waiting for a yes or no. Next time, send the email right after the interview, it will show them that you really want the job.
