Do you believe that the world of art knows no religion or race?

Be it music, dance, fine art, literature, theatre - people from all race and religion are accepted in this world without much prejudice, unlike say, politics or government.

Update:

what I meant is that TRUE artists do not differentiate on basis of religion or race. They accept an artist for his art - he may be an aetheist or a believer, but that does not bias their judgement.

Absolutely. And the reason being is that we must keep an open mind with art, as well as with life. Because we all know that art imitates life.

Art, like Nature, simply springs from an apparent nothing. In that sense it can be described as a process or procedure and in that sense is Amoral. Thus, it can ' depict' or 'portray' anything and be answerable to no-one.

But Art only exists as a function of Man and Man is part of Societies and communities which come in races, creeds, values and practices, or, if you like, and spiritual values. These are mutually interactive and a source of awe is seeing how races and creeds generate their own varieties of Art.

Religion and Art have walked hand-in-hand for tens of centuries. As a practicing Christian, I think Art has enhanced all activities of the human spirit and brought us near tangible paths to God.

Artists and musicians must be different where you live.
