Anybody else experiencing difficulties getting an engineer to call from British Gas Customer Care service?

For some days now we have been promised, many times a day, that an engineer will turn up, so far it's all been lies. It would be interested to find out via Yahoo answers how many times this is happening to other people. Have they consisterntly LIED to you?

The problem with British Gas is..they're not really British gas!. Its a company thats CALLED British Gas. ......the engineers (the ones who actually do the work) are mostly self employed and work under the flag of British Gas because its sounds good. In actual fact, if someone offered them more money to do a private work... then guess where they will be!. Your job can wait! Your job will always be available because you have a 'deal' with British Gas. Don't forget, you've paid for a service contract and British Gas are obliged to find an engineer to come to you...but if they're all working somewhere else....wait!!...they will come eventually!!

i artwork for metering centers, that are employed by potential of british gasoline to study the meters, i will in basic terms sympathise with you right here, I somewhat have met 1000's if no longer 1000's of disenchanted customers. a number of those are single mothers on benifits, which breaks my heart, unfortunatly british gasoline are no longer breaking any rules by potential of putting this fee on your meter. by using fact the fee of gasoline and electric went up a together as in the past, and you have had your meter put in it slow ofter that fee inflation you'll be able to desire to pay the recent fee ranging from whilst they annouced it. by using fact they won't be able to deploy the recent meters quickly sufficient for evreyone to start the recent expenses on the comparable time, so which you have a debt which you on no account even knew approximately till you spotted the meter eating your credit, no longer in basic terms that i think of you're paying for the meter/instsaltion additionally.

Not me, but a lady I know paid their breakdown insurance for many years, when the central heating failed, they simply told her they couldn't fix it. Another company fixed a similar problem for a neighbour with the same system.

British Gas never gave her any of the money back either.
