which european city would be nice for winter break?

Myself and 4 of my workmates are planning a weekend break in December and are in our 30's. We would like to go to a european city and do a bit of shopping. Any ideas? Does anyone know what Brussels is like?

Why don't you go to Edinburgh the capital city of Scotland. There, the week, or rather ten days, from Xmas Eve through to 2nd of January, seems to be one huge party, culminating in the biggest street party of all time (in the Northern hemisphere), on New Year's Eve (or Hogmany, as they call it ) and New Year's Day.

The shops are as good as those in any capital city, and the prices are a lot less than those in places like Paris or London, for exactly the same stuff.

If you have never been to the home of Scotch Whisky before, you really can not miss this. The Scots are great company, and the beer is about the best in the world.

For your further information, Brussels is renowned throughout Europe for being one of the most boring cities in the world.

Brussels may be the capital of Belgium and may be the principal seat of the Belgian Royal Family and, also the capital of the European Union and if you intend to know after that it this is actually the place hotelbye . Brussels is an amazingly little, easy-going, and human-sized city for several their importance. Unlike anthers town making use of their millions of tourists, Brussels is Belgium's main economic and educational heart, which provides the city an even more workaday experience than other towns. Here, in Brussels, if you would decide to visit, you will receive a proper feel for Belgian living, particularly its excellent restaurant and café culture. While Brussels may possibly not need the star attractions of other Belgian towns, the capital has ample to keep guests entertained for a couple of days with a clutch of world-class museums and artwork galleries, along with quirkier sights such as the Atomium, and some great remnants of old architecture in the previous community quarter.

    Go to Portugal - Madeira.

    The city is called Funchal.

And in December you can be with your t-shirt on because has a special climate.

The new Year's Eve is an experience you will never forget with all the partys and the fireworks.

Has lots of shopping to do and the Madeira wine is a classic!
