Is Respect a Busted Flush After Their Showing in the Ealing Southall Elections?

With all the debate about the relative performances of the major Parties. Has anyone noticed the dire performance of the Respect candidate in Ealing Southall with 588 votes or 1.9% of the popular vote. In a constituency with one of the most diverse populations in the country, with 43.3% being born abroad and a 13.3% Muslim population one would have thought that it was fertile ground for them. Has George Galloway and the Respect Unity Coalition reached its sell-by date? Or are the Muslims of Ealing a more sophisticated bunch than the naive Bengali's of Tower Hamlets. Perhaps they were concerned about what the prospect of a Respect MP would do to local house prices?

Respect came about at the height of anger over the Iraq war - I guess we've moved on and a party against flooding - 'Swim' would do really well.

I think someone somewhere thinks Galloway has reached his sbd - another investigation into his financial affairs.

Do the Muslims bother voting - lots of them don't bother learning our language.

    Don't know any Bengalis.

No matter what the result`s of Ealing southhall elections are one cannot deny the fact G. Galloway was right about the illegality of Iraq war it only remains to be seen how brave the people of USA and UK are in demanding summoning of these two war criminals for justice for the world.
