Well, you can go to Control Panel/Windows Sidebar Properties and then check the 'show sidebar when windows starts' option. If this Does not work you can restore windows to an earlier point of time by going to start/all programs/accessories/system tools/system restore.

I do not have Vista but here is an answer I found:

    1. Click on Vista's blue Start button and then click on "Help and Support".

    2. Type SIDEBAR in the Search box, press the Enter key.

    3. Click on "Windows Sidebar: FAQ".

    4. Click on "Click to open Windows Sidebar".

I did find another solution but it may be a little bit complicated for you. If you are feeling adventurous however look here http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=673214 and look for the reply at the bottom by someone named ky83cat.

good, now your computer has freed resources and can process information faster now that the useless sidebar is off. If you need a clock there is one in the corner of the screen, if you need a calender click on the clock, if you need a slideshow then there is something wrong with you, if you want to see cpu/ram resource level go to task manager, if you want weather look out your window, if you want currency converter then bookmark a website that can do it.

  • Heres the solution...

    Uninstall Vista

    Install Windows XP os
