Good Answers?

I know that many people answer for the two points. I believe though that if somebody can not say anything either:-

Funny,

relevant

or usefull.

Should refrain from answering.

Shouden't they???

Update:

i try to do all three but the "funny" part isn't appreciated by some.

I couldn't agree with you more when you said answers should be relevant and useful. Even if we want to rid of the otherwise, it will be difficult because of the nature of Internet. Everybody is just free to add in or express whatever they want.

Even so, it's always the "asker" or the majority who got the final say, because they are the ones who vote which of the answers is the most helpful to them.

Everyone sending you an answer do so of their own free will , if restrictions were in place to include your observations only IE , funny--relevant--or useful, I feel the system would become bogged down and less popular

I agree - I never answer a question unless I think I've come up with something amusing (IMO) or useful to the questioner!

I love going back to old questions I've answered and seeing of it's funny or not.

Not sure if this useful to you but you've got my opinion, although it wasn't funny.

So what you're saying is that if someone ask how to commit suicide and YA! people ask the person to seek some help, which is, by the way, not funny, relevant, nor useful to the one who wants to take their life, should not answer?

yes they should refrain from answering the question if they do not know the answer or if they have nothing useful to say

me personally just enjoy helping people and spending my free time on here answering questions

you are going to get some short and sweet ones in response to this question, I do answer some quite quick to bump up oints, but know and agree with what you are saying

I cannot stand the really long questions, as I cannot be bothered reading them !!! LOL

agreed, i see a lot of rude and cruel answers to serious questions. i often think that some of these answers are towards impressionable teens and feel bad for them.

No.....I think as long as it's within the guidelines anything goes.

This is just a fun site....it's not that serious.
