How do I 'open' the name box and formula bar in Excel (2003)?

My name box and formula bar in Excel 2003 have suddenly disappeared and I have no idea how to 'open' them again. I've looked in all of the menus and tried Microsoft help, but without any success. Can anyone help me please? Thank you!

    Go to tools and options, then on the view tab (should automatically be on that one) tick the box for formula bar.

    Click on Tools -> Options. On the View tab tick Formula bar.

    How funny. I was trying to figure out what happened to mine. I did the same as you. I was not able to find it. I typed in this question and BAM 3 hrs prior the same question was asked! Crazy..... Well the first answer to this question was right.
