Was this a dream or a genuine news item?
A couple of mornings ago I either dreamt that it was discovered that drinking plenty of water had no benefits, or it was a genuine radio news item.
The radio switches on BBC radio 4 at 7am, during the 'Today' news programme.
I am not sure whether I dreamt I heard it on the news, or whether it really was on the news.
Was it a dream, or a genuine news item?

It's true - some American scientists have debunked lots of health myths. Personally I think they are wrong on this one - we DO need to drink water regularly through the day, just not too much.

Ha! same thing happens to me, often when the radio's on. There's even a little village I "know", never figured whether I've actually been there or dreamt it.

You didn't dream it, but you must have been half asleep. The report was about debunking some 'old wives' tales' and 'drinking 8 glasses of water a day keeps you healthy' was one of them.

Genuine, what it said was water is important but taking it in tea or coffee etc is just as good for you.
