Have you read the Bush Scroll, signed by New Jewish Congress, Sanhedrin, etc.? Opinions?

I'd like to know what people think of this document. Personally, I think it's magnificent, but it's bound to be controversial.

This document was to be presented to Bush in Israel. I'm not sure if they succeeded in getting it to him. It's signed by Dr. Gadi Eshel (The New Jewish Congress), Rabbi A. Even Yisrael Steinzaltz (The Sanhedrin), and Rabbi Chaim Richman (The Holy Temple and Temple Mount Movements).

In the address line, it refers to Bush as Gog, by citing Ezekiel 38:1.

The scroll can be found at:

Update:

RW: You're right. That's why I'm very interested in everybody's viewpoint. I realize there will be disagreement, but I'd like to know why people support it or disagree with it.

Update 2:

Shmuel: Thanks, I did watch the video and saw your comments. The media (so far) won't touch this with a barge pole, so I think it's good that people become are of it, whether they agree with it or not.

The Sanhedrin is the Holy people of Israel who have the makings of the temple ready to erect.

Our President needs to listen to The Sanhedrin and he needs to listen to many of our Holy men of God. The USA should have nothing to do with the division of Jerusalem or God's land. The Bible states that the land will be divided, but the USA is going against Almighty God if they are involved in it.

The Palestinians need to back down because God will make sure they are wiped out as the enemies of Israel. Every concerned America needs to read Ezekiel 38 in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible.

The USA must stand behind Israel and protect Israel and remove all threats from Israel. The Rabbi knows the Old Testament of our Bible called the Torah. The Rabbi is right when he says that "no government in Israel and no representative of the Jewish people has the power or right to alter, by even the slightest degree, our covenant with God and the words of our Holy Torah, which are everlasting, as expressed by the prophets of Israel and even by the wicked prophet Balaam: etc."

It is quite a shame when these Holy men must quote to a Christian nation the Bible and to tell us that God does not want His land divided. The Bible is the Word of the Living God and God said that He gave that land to Israel and that Israel is the only people that have a recorded deed in the Bible given to them by God.

Prophet Joel saw this division of Jerusalem and Israel and He wrote:(Joel 3:2)

"I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and PARTED MY LAND."

Chapter 3 of Joel is "Judgment on the Nations."

It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of Almighty God.

I beg President Bush and our government, please do not have anything to do with dividing the land of Israel or making a Palestinian state. This is God's portion of the earth. It is given to Israel by God, because God chose Israel to be His people to live on it. The Palestinians can live elsewhere. The land was not given to the Palestinians by God.

Fear God my people of the USA. If God is for the USA who can be against us but we can't disobey God and divide His land.

Please Congress and Please Senate and Please President Bush listen to the Rabbi of The Sanhedrin of Israel. Please read the Book of Joel in the Old Testament and the whole chapter 3. Do not divide the land of Israel and Do not divide Jerusalem. This is God's land and His portion that He has claimed of the earth that He gave to mankind. Do not go against God because no nation can win.

Defend Israel. Support Israel. Uphold the rights of the Jewish people to the entire land of Israel. When the Lord returns Israel will get all the land that God said belonged to them.

President Bush if you mess with Israel you are dooming the USA. Do not be involved in dividing the land of Israel.

Pray America. Repent, Fast and Pray.

Yes I have read it and seen a video about it on YouTube, it very much is done in the the Jewish Tradition. The Goverment of Yisrael doesn't hold the true views of the majority of Jewish People. I believe it refers to Bush as the Chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal ( Ezek. 38:1), who yes would be Gog. Those are some pretty strong words. It gives Bush a choice to be remembered as a Righteous Gentile or to be remembered as a wicked King like Nebuchadnezzer, or even Hitler.

Ezekial 38:2 -4 says: "Son of man, prophesy against Gog of the land of Magog, the prince who rules over the nations of Meshech and Tubal. Give him this message from the Sovereign Lord: Gog, I am your enemy! I will turn you around and put hooks into your jaws to lead you out to your destruction. I will mobilize your troops and cavalry and make you a vast and mighty horde, all fully armed. "

Basically the reference to Ezekial 38 is a warning that if the U.S. sides with the 'pallywhatsits' that the LORD G-d will smite us to our bitter end! Chas v'Shalom!!

I have not read all of it, but I heard they have mistakingly identified Bush here, when "Meshech" is the ancient tribe name for Moscow.

"Esteemed Mr. George W. Bush, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal (Ezekiel 38:1), leader of the west!"

below is the link for the Rabbi Chaim's reading of the scroll and analysis of it on Youtube...

thats.... interesting. I am not sure what I think of it.

though do please appriciate that not all Jewish people are represented by those groups... I am not sure if I really agree with them or not, but they are not universally accepted by jewish people or anything like that, that some might assume.

Thats interesting, it sounds like a lot of bull$hit but I don't know.

The way it is written is questionable, sounds very much like a poem.

Funny that they would try to give it to Bush though, almost a warning...

Personally I find this troubling. To me it's the same kind of sermonizing that Pat Robertson uses when he says repent or face hurricanes, and that some Muslims use in the same vein.

It's as law or law as plural doors of heaven.

Let us have one grace us ever open door.

The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven.

Beware the LEAVEN of the Pharisees.

A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Cast out the bondwoman AND her son.

Jerusalem above is the mother of us all.

Grace --> Mercy ---> Peace with you all. Amen.
