What do you see or hear in a waterfall?
The waterfall
One day when I was walking, I heard a wonderful sound
But unknown where it was coming from as it was all around
I listened to it very carefully and pin-pointed the real source
Then gently walked towards it, I looked in wonder; it was a waterfall
At first it sounded like a piccolo, a violin and a harp
The rhythm softy sweeping, kept in time with my beating heart
As I walked along the edge, the music suddenly changed its’ tune
The beat in me grew faster like a trumpet loudly playing some romantic blues
The water ran much faster, I had trouble keeping up the pace
The sound of a drummer, a guitar and a bass were leading this fruitful race
At last I got to the waterfalls’ edge and much to my surprise
An orchestra was playing there right before my eyes
There were trumpets, trombones, violins, more than I could see with music all around
What was yet to come, the crescendo, the cymbals and drums gave a crashing sound
A waterfall is not a thing that just crashes to the ground
Listen to the music it makes not only in the air, but deep inside of you, even all around.

I think that you are in tune (no pun intended) with the beauty of the simple sounds of nature and how to express them. I would like to send one of mine, if I may.Philip.
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
The banks side reeds sing a song
A song that always soothes
The river still lays slugabed
Too sleepy yet to move
Busy Birds chorus the dawn
In trees newly clothed
Spring at last has taken the stage
And banished the winter cold
Mist plays tag and dances with
A soft zephyr of breeze
The sun peeps out flaming red
To warm the eager bees
Now the river residents
Take up their morning work
Ratty stretches gets in his boat
To go and have a talk
Ducks a dabbling in the weed, up tails all
A mayfly skims the waters edge
Alert to natures call
Kingfisher in his gorgeous plumage
Patrols the his larder deep
Summer is not far away when many will not sleep
And if you listen you may hear and to it be drawn
The silken notes, and melody of the Piper at the Gates of Dawn.

You make it sound so wonderful to behold everyone needs to slow down and listen to Gods work of nature.

What a wonderful thing to hear a symphony in a waterfall. There's a waterfall near me on my island and I'm going to listen to it next time, not just look at it. Thanks for inspiring my sense of hearing.
