Any one noticed that you can insult other people in a question?

Without getting a violation Noice. But when you answer the question to defend yourself/others, you instantly get a violation notice.

Update:

I have complained to Yahoo, but I got the same message 'that I had breached the community guidelines'.

Yes, and it also seems like once you have had 1 violation it seems to open the door to receiving them left, right and centre.

I'd answered 900 questions with no violations then suddenly 4 in a week!!

No. That's construed as insulting other users, whether in a posted question or an answer. Anyone who does this is in direct violation of the Community Guidelines. When you come across a question like that, just avoid answering it and report the abuser to the Y!A Team. Customer Care will deal with him from there. Just move on without causing any problems after that.

Let that rude person incur the violation and be docked 10 points for their foolishness. Don't you incur that violation and lose 12 points in the process with that insulting answer. This is not the way to behave here.

well, yes, we shoudn;t insult anyone even if we are right ,,, it is an insult again and will only make you the same with them , we may not defend with an offense .

Better only report their answers, if you feel it's right, but again i don't think it's the best to do, it's like letting them put you in their same pathetic feelings cyrcle,,, ignoring them is the best i think, and just remember, you don't have to defend to anyone if you 've been nice ,,, i only reported someone who had insulted me once, in the heat of the moment, but regretted it after,,,so i just don;t pay any attention anymore to anyone that i think doesn;t deserve it and i am happier this way :) some persons feelings might always be offended by anything we might say, without our intention,so we have to show some understanding in there too ,stay cool and forget about them ;)

I think it is dependant on the insult.

If it is in violation of TOS then you can do it either way.

I've flagged more questions than answers.
