I know how to get round the 'virus' thing on Limewire...itunes is so damn expensive and a ripoff in some cases.

If you are goung to use a p2p program like limewire, get a virus protection, which is important for any computer that is connected to the internet. I recommend AVG Free Edition becuase it has a pretty good detection rate, and also Zonealarm Free Firewall becuase it stops alot of intrusions.

Once you've downloaded limewire, turn OFF file sharing, otherwise people can get access to files in your documents folder. You can set up a filter for the search engine, since some porn is labelled with band names and songs. When you find a file you want, make sure it is of a similar size to the other music files of the same name. Ones that are significantly different (smaller/larger) are definietly viruses. Also, hover your mouse of the file in question. If the little box showing the file name does NOT appear, DO NOT download it.

Also, look for music files that are on a number of computers (on limewire they're called hosts, and a number will appear in a column in front of the file name). The higher the number, the quicker it will download.

Try to find music files that show "album:", "track", "time" and "song title" when you hover over it, as these are more likely to be the files you are looking for.

Scan the 'limewire' folder with AVG Free Edtion (it's called a shell extention test...dunno why) before opening the files and it should show that they are clean. If not, move them to the 'virus vault' and completely delete the infected file off of your pc. If you haven't opened it, it should not leave a virus on your system, though I'd 'full scan' your whole computer just to make sure.

As for the DVD thing, I don't know, sorry. Hope this helps a bit :)
