sony k800i owners?

hi wondered if ne1 can help my mate has just purchased a sony ericsson k800i now 1 prob he's got is when you press the volume button & it gives the info about the phone i.e memory , batt life etc it should also come up with the phone no. aswell well his doesnt is there anyway this can be sorted so the phone no. is displayed ? many thanks in advance for your help

    tro fix this go into contacts

    and then options

    and input his number into the ' my number' section and it will show up, its not a fault so i woundnt worry

    I also have a K800i... I'm no phone expert but my number doesnt show up.

    Are you sure the number meant to show up..?

    I'm not too sure it is though

    yes, mine does that. but if you're talking on the phone or listening to music the volume will work. I've had mine for 21 months and still find new things.

    sorry, misread your question at first. Mine didn't come on straight away, it came on after a couple of weeks, but I was on a contract.

    only pay as you go phone numbers will be displayed. pay monthly wont but you should be able to modify it. try calling sony ericsson.

    You have to manually input your phone number
