Does anybody actually read Muslim answers?

I've noticed that it often happens that immediately after a Muslim posts an answer, they receive a ton of thumbs down. Some of their answers are quite long (which annoys me, personally no matter who it is), so I think it's doubtful that people have been reading them.

Don't we owe anyone who is not being rude or offensive a read? Or if you're not going to read it, why not just skip it without voting? Don't Muslims have as much right to discuss religion at this forum as everyone else?

Update:

Fennec, I would have hoped that Christians would know what Yeshua/Jesus said about loving people. Loving is not the same as agreeing with or joining.

Update 2:

Before any accusations get started, I am the one who had sloppy's answer deleted and I'm glad I did. He adovated death for all Muslims. Reporting is not something I do lightly, but this was indecent.

I actually do. I don't thumbs down anyone unless its a question I'm really interested in seeing the answers to then I only thumbs down the people who are simply being smart Alec's so I don't have to scroll through there vile hatred of anything they don't actually have a comment on but just wish to put down to read the answer from people who actually have some insight.

That's right thumbs down is simply a filter for me to weed out morons who don't have any actually thoughts.

I only give them an auto thumbs down if they sponteneusly typed a 900 word answer in under 3 minutes that I have read before.

And also when it is just a rant demonizing non-muslims whole sale as murderers and sinner.

No one can discuss anything here, only give answers.

But for the most part, thumbs down is the only way to get all that cut and paste off the screen. Plus, I will give thumbs down to anyone who I feel is being disingenuous. Promoting ones religion and decrying intolerance, while openly practicing intolerance, just smacks of disingenuousness, to me.

Look at it from the bright side . A Muslim answer rating bar sets a place of alliance bet semi-Christians & most Athiests.

HA ! On the JW's comment, that is called unity. That is why the other denominations are in disunity. Can you imagine the early Christian congregation all coming up with their own ideas? That is why they have congregations. LOL

Actually, in the name of all muslims, i ask you to forgive us.. if we have bothered you with long answers .. we only try to supply enough information ;-)

perhapse the reason is that Islamic religion has so much information.

Friendly advice : you are free to just skim and scan the answer .. just do what makes you happy.

Did you really think Christians were going to say 'Oh yes, we love Muslims?'. I agree that they should not be discriminated against though and some of these answers are shocking

Oh yes I do..I have learned Muslims have a deep faith to GOD and look to follow him the best way possible..

I am glad they are here...;)

  • people are blinded by their own faith and beliefs. some would just not be open minded. its not only towards islam but its towards other religions and other groups they personally do not like.
