What does a car's personalised registration number say about the owner?
I saw a flash Merc with personalised number YE 51 RUB. I'm just wondering what sort of person would splash out a couple of grand to advertise to the road-going public that she rubs (what does she rub I wonder?).
What other cheeky personalised plates have you seen, and what do you think it says about the owner?

I have waited ages for my personalised UK number plate (and I had to wait until I got a new car, too). I'm not giving details but it has my initials, last 2 numbers of my year of birth (thanks to the new type reg) and the shortened version of my name by which I am known. I can put my new plate on any future car I buy (next one when 5 year warranty runs out on current car)
I am proud of my number plate and it didn't cost me too much either (about £400 from the DVLA). I would have liked one with my first name in full (made up of letters and numbers which look like letters) but that was 10's of thousands of pounds.
So don't tar us all with the same brush, please!!

We have a local drain un-blocking company in a town local to me, with the number plate: WH05 HAT that has had the letters subtly adjusted!
I'm just gutted they never brought out the prefix pi because there could have been numerous humourous number plates in September 2005.
I won't insult your intelligence by listing any!
OK maybe just one then: PI55 OFF

I bought my car with a non age related plate already on it.
I can only assume the previous owner did not want others knowing the age of the car.
It does not bother me. I would never spend hard earned money on such a trivial thing.

If they have a personalised plate it disguises the fact they don't have enough money to change their car every 6 months.

Here in South Africa, the guys (& Girls) do it too. the good news is that once you have it & you get rid of that vehicle & buy a new one, you can use that plate on it too.
Although some of things they put on them here are ridiculous...like:
1 SLICK O - ZN (O, meaning OKE. Slang for a guy)
2 SEXY 4 - ZN (I'll believe that when you open that tinted window).
(ZN is the state/province we live in...that does not change).
My brother's friend name is Calvin & wanted to use that on his car, but it's taken already...Hee, Hee.
