Help with Grand Theft Auto 4 anyone?
I am not a pro so I may seem stuid here,but how do you get to other islands? I have tried to cross the bridges and they're blocked by police barriers. I nicked a motor bike and got through them but got caught the other side. Cars wont break the down and the tubes wont take me that far! Also any other cheats/advice etc for me. I love the game but am getting bored staying round the same area. Also when do you get to fly helicopters, boats etc????

you can't until you complete a few missions,
even if you do make it across your star level will max out and the helicopters will eventually shoot you after the cop cars smash up your car

Do missions. You unlock the other two islands by game progression. Also call Brucie on your cell phone and you can go boating or pilot a heli around the town. You can also just wander around the riverside and look for boats to jack. And on one of the islands there is a heli tour spot that you can jack a copter but the police won't like you. This is also how I got my 5 star wanted lvl award.

Do missions, they unlock the other islands. It takes a little while but just hang in there. Helicopters are usually parked or landed or whatever a non moving helicopter is called in the airport - but as soon as you go in there you'll get a 4 star wanted level! Boats... well they aren't that fun but if you want one I guess you could just steal one!
