Are Amazon bad employers?

I spend a lot on books with Amazon but am dismayed to read that they have brought in The Burke Group to prevent their warehousemen forming a union. Does anyone work there and know how well they treat their workers. They made an incredible profit last year.

unions aren't always a good thing. They force the people in their unions to go on strike, which in some places you do NOT get compensated for and these strikes can go on for months, besides, you have to pay monthly union dues and because of hiring and firing policies if you have someone that doesn't work and just slacks off it makes it harder to get rid of them. Unions can be a good thing, but I mostly see unions abusing their power.
