Why do I get the same email once every half hour from Yahoo!Answers?

I don't know about it but I came here because I figured someone had the same problem.. I've been getting 2 seperate questions, emailed to me every 20 minutes for the last 3 days... at 11 and 12 minutes after, 31 and 32, and 51 and 52.

I work in computer programming so I know a bit about how automated email is sent out. Basically they have a little program, called an 'agent" or something else like that.. that basically goes through and does things based on criteria.. This one likely checks questions (maybe ones newer than a week or seomthing) and looks for best answers, then sends out the emails to the answer. Thats why it's so regular, thats how long it will take to go through the cycle before it starts again. That agent must be stuck somewhere, maybe on a piece of bad data, could even be an invalid date or something, so it's just re-doing the same thing over and over because whoever wrote it forgot to put in the code to break the cycle if there is an error.

I also haven't been getting any other emails, though I know I've had other best answers and answers to questions just from checking my recent activity.

I guess if other people are having the same problem, they likely know about it so we can just wait it out.. But it'll be a little piece of code in one of their programs and something is messing it up..

Really annoying beause I actually care what goes on in my Y!A and I devote alot of time to it, so I like to know when I have BAs and answers and emails :(

This is probably the 1000th question I've seen about this glitch. Its happening to everyone right now, and Y!A is aware of it and trying to fix it. I recently received 5 best answers and am getting hundreds of e-mails from Y!A. Sadly, we don't get the points over and over.

The best answers on 12/26 (or within 12 hours of that date) are getting multiple best answer e-mails. After that date, no e-mails for best answers are being sent out at all, even though you will still get the points for that best answer.

For now, you can mark it as spam so it isn't flooding your inbox. Also, you can check in your recent activities tab to help you figure out whether you got a best answer or not. Good Luck!

i could change it to gatoraide or pedialite because of the fact he will quickly get dehydrated and which would be a important difficulty. He needs to change electrolites. He ought to be lactose illiberal and the milk is making it worse. Secondly, he should not be utilising a bottle anymore. he's merely too old for that. If he's status up and walking/conversing, he's the right age for a cup with a straw or sippy cup. he's a toddler and not a toddler anymore.

Yep. Just like the rest of us. A glitch in Yahoo's system. Hiccup, as it were. They're supposed to be working on that.

Latest glitch and they are working on it they apologise on the forum. Seems we will just have to be patient. Just be thankful they are not violation e-mails. lol
