What he did was illegal so she can defiantly contact the police. Even though it was 6 years ago she can still press charges as long as there is evidence. Imagine if someone murdered a person and evidence was found 6 years later. The murderer could defiantly be charged.

Just REMEMBER, the fact that it happened in the past does not make it right, what he did was still wrong ans ILLEGAL. That's what matters!

    Hope i helped! :)

You can try and press charges. But they will need solid proof. If you can not provide a substantial amount of evidence there is not much they can do. As well as hearing his side the story. There has to be 2 sides to every story. My advice is to get your facts all together once you have solid proof then the police detectives can make up a solid case file. If not then there is not much they can do. That's just the way the justice system is. Good Luck and I hope you nab that F**k Head God Bless +

and I hope the 2 of you find closure in this dark time. If you need any further advice or just a supportive friend just hit me up acemlm4ever@yahoo.com + see ya later Good Luck +

What exactly did your wife want to press charges on? At any time if this guy posts her pictures, she can file a lawsuit. As far as rape 6 years ago, you will have to speak to your local PD to find out the statute of limitations. Good luck!

There might be a statute of limitations on rape. If he does not have written consent to sell the pictures, they might be considered her property. Contact a lawyer - the 13 year olds on Yahoo Answers aren't going to be much help.

Why do the yanks keep poking there noses into a UK board?

    http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20090111...

There is no statute of limitations - Just go ahead and get at least an injunction about the use of the photos.

You should get a seat on Oprah.

I think the smartest thing is to do nothing (yet), since it's not a problem right now.

If however he seeks contact with her in the future, you should call the cops.

No, you can only press charges for rape within two years of the incident, and even then, the longer you wait, the weaker your case is

It depends on the statute of limitations. To find out, call up your DA's office. Have all your facts clearly outlined, though, because it looks to me as though there may be more than one crime involved here; be able to give whomever you talk to a detailed chronology of exactly what your wife's first partner did to her.

No I don't think so because The Statute Of Limitations is usually 2 years.
