Guinea pigs - is ok to feed them turnips?
I have 2 guinea pigs. I feed them a mixture of dried food and fresh veg., i.e. carrots, parsnips, green cabbage, spinach, apples.
Are turnips OK?

Yes it is okay. Mine won't eat it, they nibbled it and left it alone.

Hi there,
Carrot, apples (in moderation - they're more treats), spinach and parsnips are good. But all cabbage shouldn't be given a lot because it can cause bloating, although now and then causes no harm as far as we know.
I hope I answered your question.

I tried this before, one of my guinea pigs died unfortunately, so I fed the remaining turnip to the other guinea pig :)

Try feeding turnips to one of your guinea pigs. If it doesn't die, feed them to the other one.
