When I read, I don't feel like I'm reading but like I'm rushing and have to read the sentence over and over y?

Does anyone know why this happens and can it be stopped?

Update:

It's not because I am bored of the book or because I do not like the book.

In fact I love the book lol :)

I get that if im distracted thinking about something else, or if tv is on, im too busy listening to that to take in what im reading. Go somewhere quiet, and read it slower, and it will be fine

Try reading something that you actually like.

That happens to me all the time when I'm reading stuff for school.

I do that usually if I don't like the book or if I'm distracted and can't concentrate. So my advice is either find somewhere quiet or get a new book :)
