Why does sound recording software produce a beep or pip throughout the recordings?
I have a Dell inspiron 1525 with a built in webcam. Whenever I try to record a video using the built-in microphone however there is a 'beep' or 'pip' sound throughout. Oddly this doesn't seem to affect direct capture from youtube.

this can be caused because your computer is lagging i used to get the same thing on my old computer when i would record audo with cakewalk i'd get blips and glitches throughout the recording. but after i got a faster computer it hasn't done it since then. your computer is not keeping up with speed of the recording :0)
