Gemini vs. Cancer: whose moodier?

Well, I suppose it depends on other Aspects in a person's chart, but in general I just have to say that both Gemini and Cancer can be extremely moody and prone to mood swings. Honestly, I think it's pretty hard to pin-point which sign is the moodier of the two, just because we're talking about Sun signs "in general", but I know quite a few Geminis as well as numerous Sun in Cancer folks......... but one Gemini/Cancer woman in particular, comes to mind.

Oh, and BTW: I don't mean to offend any Geminis or Cancers, I'm not talking about "all" or every Gemini and Cancer person on the face of Earth, I'm just referring to the few that I have or have had in my life. We all have our days and even just "small" moments, whether you're a Cancer, Aries, or you're a "Jolly Jupiter Sagittarius", we're all prone to bad days and moody moments. So, please do forgive me all wonderful Gemini and Cancer people of the World.....

Example A: GEMINI: I have, excuse me, I "had" a friend who is (was) a Gemini in both Tropical and Sidereal Astrology, so naturally she had all the typical Gemini characteristics: Positive: witty, intelligent, bright, sometimes overly sarcastic, but not in a bad way, Negative: she was extremely restless, constantly changing (in some good ways, but mostly bad ways), two-faced, and way too much of a follower, stubborn, and might I add, very very controlling. At the time, I understood most of her ways, but of course not always, because after all, I am human but now I understand her even more just by further studying Astrology. Anyhow, she was very emotional and sympathetic towards other people, rather caring actually....but everything had to go her way .......or she would just bite you're head off instead. As far as moodiness goes, I can't say she was very moody, but just simply "emotional" and very okay with showing her emotions, which from my understanding, isn't very typical Gemini behavior, I believe her Moon was on her Ascendant, but I can't be sure that it was.... So for my Example A: Gemini, I would say that this specific Gemini friend of mine wasn't really moody, but that was just her, I can't say that for "all" and "every" Gemini in the Big Bad World, so I'll move on to Example B: Cancer......

Example B: Cancer: This is where my Sidereal Astrology theory comes into play, so here it goes: I have an Aunt who is a Tropical Cancer......and then (here we go) a Gemini/Cancer Cusp in Sidereal Astrology (I have no idea what time she was born so I can't really tell). From the day she was born, she's been, and I'm going to be plain and blunt: absolutely crazy, nuts, and totally out of her right mind!!! She's very very very MOODY with a capital M-O-O-D-Y! A Bipolar, raging maniac, crazy bag-lady, possible serial-killer (just kidding....maybe not), possessive, jealous, money and power hungry! She likes to leave the water faucet running and her curling-iron plugged in her bathroom.......while she's at McDonald's getting a chocolate shake and shopping at the mall. She recently caught her brand new kitchen on fire because she turned the stove on High, put a pan filled with 3 inches Olive Oil on that stove, and got up and left the house! Isn't she a genius?!!!! Examples of her absolute (k)raziness (that's right crazy with a "k"): she likes to pretend that everything around her is a puppet and she is the puppet master. For example: she bought my Mum an expensive purse for her Birthday....a few months later her and my Mum got into a fight about something. Her way or "technique" of winning a fight is to say: "Oh, well I bought you that Nine West bag for you for your Birthday!!!" Like that's suppose to win her the fight, it's her way of holding things over people's heads, so in the end nobody can say or do anything to her! When she fights with you though, she'll be raging mad, punching, kicking, screaming, and then.....all of a sudden she stops dead in her tracks and says something ridiculous like: " Oh, where's my iced tea?" or " Karen, where's that road that winds and loops around?". Now, she's perfectly fine.....no reason as to what or why she stopped screaming, punching, and kicking......just something else caught her attention and she's moving on to the next subject. She has extreme mood swings like no other! I just have to say that it must be extremely difficult to be on the Sidereal Gemini/Cancer Cusp.....that probably = one very moody and changeable character! Plus she has a very harsh Square from her Sun to Neptune, which I must say makes her very delusional and quite deceptive. And I've noticed she only travels during "Mercury in Retrograde", which makes me wonder if Mercury in Retrograde was going on at the time of her birth....or if she's just plain Gemini.

I'm going to say Gemini, just because they are more prone to emotional outbursts, simply because they aren't in tune with their emotions, or at least they don't understand them, where as Cancer is very in tune, so naturally Cancer can usually control their moodiness, and emotional outbursts.

Gemini Vs Cancer

From my experience, Cancer; however, a Gemini can be exstatic one minute and a second later angry as a bull... and you won't know why! This Gemini 2nd side is quite infrequent, though.

Cancers are very emotional and are always guarding their feelings... they have a hard time taking things lightly and trusting people's good intentions. Not afraid to show what mood their in.

Geminis are very non-emotional and can easily take a joke or even a slight, because their minds move so quickly... something else will get their attention before they even digest an intended slight. Geminis struggle with expressing feelings of sadness, etc. They will get angry, rather than cry.

Cancer females have been far worse, I tiptoe around some of them. Their dramatic/untruthful emotional reactions to simple questions have caused countless problems. I've concluded that emotion rather than logic runs their thoughts. And since I always treat people with kindness and respect, there is nothing more I can do with them. However, I am friends/acquainted with Cancer females that are super caring, witty-funny and intelligent. They still get emotional on me, but not abusive, and their positive side is lovely. They also recognize that I speak and treat them with respect, so they have nothing to fear from me.

I'm a Scorpio sun, Gemini moon. I naturally gravitate towards Gemini's posivite energy.

i would definitely say gemini is moodier. i am cancer and i tend to have more of hard time expressing myself when i feelings upset. i would rather go into tears and instead of being moody. i am usually most moody when i am nervous or anxious for some reason. i usually can control myself when i am sad. geminis on the other hand i think are different. i would definitely say that cancers are more whinnier than moody.

personally no idea, I had an arguement with my cancer friend, but they would just ignore you until they get their point across thats what i found however, geminis wont shut their mouths and if you trie to offend them, they'll laugh because thy'll think your stupid and because cancers can manipulate people, geminis tend to manipulate people when it comes to arguements, so its either cancers run off cvrying inbetween or it will be an endless fight which will go on forever of them both trying to manipulate eachother into a stupid point which probably is super stupid.

I'm a gemini and I have a my moody moments. But I don't express them. I usually just keep quiet! BUT I do know some geminis that are honestly just plain nuts! I have a totally different thought process as they do. So it may depend upon other aspects of their chart.

Now my girlfriend is a Cancer, but she has alot of leo in her chart. She is very moody! Sometimes in a good way and sometimes in a bad way. Even sometimes has a break down but I try to keep as her anchor.

The thing is that geminis (evil twins) are thought to have multiple personalities, cancers(crabby) are naturally moody worriers, their mood can fluctuate from happy to a completely nasty attitude within a split second.

Gemini definitely! My dad,my bf's ex and my sis's ex are all Gemini and yes they were/are all crazy and abusive.My dad has been abusive to our whole family at one point or another.My bf's ex beat her up so bad she will have the scars for the rest of her life and my sister's ex used to push her around and also liked hurting himself.I don't know any Cancers that are that crazy and weird.

Definitely Gemini. I've seen articles that focus on the "twins" aspect of Gemini. They're made out to be sort of bipolar and extremely moody which I've found to be true! My mom for example. I'm a Cancer and very laid back. I'm sort of ill-tempered but definitely not moody.
