Multifunction printer/scanner devices and wireless print servers...?

I have a multifunction scanner/printer at the moment (Epson Stylus SX200 if you're interested) and want to set it up with a wireless print server. I know you can get print servers that are compatible with multifunction devices, but does anybody have any experience of such a setup - I'm curious as to how the scan function in particular would work - how would it know which computer to send the image file to?

Thanks!

Each of the client PCs will have a scanner driver. Usually requested scans are via the scanner driver on the PC so the scanner will send the scan wherever requests it first.

Other scanners will scan to a dedicated folder regardless of who requested a scan. This is more typical of business scanners that do volume scanning

You may also find that the mutlifunction print server is not fully compatible with you scanner printer - I returned mine when I found that it didn't return ink or paper levels, so check compatibilty before you buy and get the manufacturers recommended one
