  • Is there any facility to buy a weekly ticket at Tegel airport?

I will be staying in Berlin for about six days, so I want to buy a 7 day ticket for the U-Bahn/S-Bahn, buses, trams etc. I know how to do this at a BVG ticket machine, but I've not flown in to Tegel before - does anybody know if there are ticket machines at Tegel to buy these tickets?

If not, can I buy them on the bus, or will I have to pay the single fare on the bus then just buy the ticket I need when I get to a U-Bahn station?

Secondly, are 7 day tickets valid on the TXL bus? I'm thinking about my return journey here - if I already hold a 7 day ticket, can I use that to get back to Tegel on my way home?

    Many thanks/Vielen Dank :)

  • Cost of calling an 020 1 number?

Does anybody know how much it costs to dial an 020 1 number?

020 numbers are London numbers, but Wikipedia says 020 0 and 020 1 numbers are for 'national dialling only' - does this mean they are charged at non-geographic number rates, or still charged at normal national call rates from outside London? If I called from in London, would I be charged local or national rate? Would a call to 020 1 be included in my landline minutes on my mobile contract?

    Thanks

  • I need to do something different and fun in London this week.?

I live in Birmingham, but I go to London quite often - I have family there. My degree and my life generally are driving me mad at the moment and I've decided to just go and spend a day in London doing no work and not worrying about anything. =)

I need to do something fun, different and interesting. I've done all the touristy things, several times over. I need some ideas of off-the-beaten-track things to do.

    Thanks :)

  • Windows Media Center - recording onto networked storage?

Will Media Center happily record to a networked storage location? My laptop is short on hard disk space, but I am considering getting some networked storage, which would be connected by Ethernet cable to my router, which would then be connected by 802.11g wireless to the laptop.

Would Media Center on my laptop record to this network storage location okay, and would it play back okay?

Would another laptop on the network be able to record to/play back from the networked location too?

  • Multifunction printer/scanner devices and wireless print servers...?

I have a multifunction scanner/printer at the moment (Epson Stylus SX200 if you're interested) and want to set it up with a wireless print server. I know you can get print servers that are compatible with multifunction devices, but does anybody have any experience of such a setup - I'm curious as to how the scan function in particular would work - how would it know which computer to send the image file to?

    Thanks!

  • Why does Yahoo Answers get offended by punctuation?

I was answering a question a moment ago, and got this message on the right of the text box:

"Hmm... it looks like you have a lot of punctuation."

What on earth? Are we actually not allowed to use full English grammar and punctuation online if we so wish? :-S
