sky broadband problems- DNS?

sometimes while i'm surfing on the internet the internet goes and when i try repair it, it says there maybe a problem with the DNS server....

i'm leaving to call sky as my last resort because of their service isn't so good,

i also tried using the ethernet cable but no use... plz help?

    i use http://www.opendns.com/ this is a free dns if you use a router you need to set it on that aswell just to make sure it goes the right servers

    since its used by millions of people.
