Can you identify this religious group for me please?
I was in Nazareth last week and as I walked up the road towards the Spring Of Mary, a procession of Africans came down the road blocking the traffic. Many of the men were wearing white cloaks and white crowns with gold detail - anybody know who they are?
Hi all. It was Nazareth and the costumes included crucifixes, so not Jewish. I will check out the Ethipoian Orthodox church and if that matches, we have a winner!

They could have been members of one of the Ethiopian Orthodox churches.

Probably Ethiopean Jews. They are highly respected in Isreal, as they are considered to practice one of the "purest" (i.e. closest to the original) forms of Judaism.
