Is paying a hundred quid extra for the iphone 3GS really worth it?
I'm in a quandry whether to get the 8gb 3G or 16gb 3GS.

At this point, no. In fact, at this point, it's better to wait until June when the new iPhone comes out. Since the new phone is going to have to address the challenges thrown down by phones like the droid and the soon to be released Google phone, it should be worth waiting for.

The 3GS is a better phone than the 3G. It's faster and has a little more features. However, if you can wait it out, wait for the new iphone to come out. If not, I'd say get the 3GS iphone. I have it, and I absolutely love the phone.
