Where is a great place to have dinner in Disney World for adults?

That is a great question. They're all nice, but I go to different restaurants for different reasons. Only one restaurant on property isn't really a place to take kids (victoria and alberts at the grand floridian). When you try to make your reservations remember that Le Cellier in epcot, and O'hana at the poly are booked 180 days out for a reason. Others that would be great for a birthday are Whispering Canyon Cafe at wilderness lodge (good food, great atmosphere for bday), Coral Reef at epcot (good food, living seas aquarium as the front wall of restaurant). California Grill at the contemporary (great food, great location overlooking MK, expensive). Wolfgang Puck Cafe in downtown disney (fantastic food, family friendly)

You can now make dining reservations online under the plan tab at disneyworld.com. You can book 180 days out. Remember if you don't get your first choice when you try, make a res for something that will work and keep trying. You can always cancel what you don't want. One more thing...the search engine will give you a few alternates if your choice is not available. Keep putting your choices in the search.

My first choice as an adult is Disney's Epcot. There is a LOT to do there. Many of the best restaurants are there, Le Cellier in the Canada pavilion, San Angel in the Mexico pavilion are two of my favorites. When we go we usually do the wine tastings in Italy, France and Germany. (I always buy a bottle for later! You don't have to carry it around the park, just ask that it be sent to the front of the park, and you pick it up on your way out) Another thing to do at Epcot is to take the Segway Tour. It costs extra, but it is SO much fun!! We did this last week while we were there. (by the way the "we" I speak of is my son-age 25, my niece- age 40, myself- age 44) You have to book this in advance and it is $80 per person. It last for 2 hours. The first hour is training on how to use a Segway. This is a 2-wheeled vehicle that you stand on and ride around. The second hour they take you "touring the world". You ride around the World Showcase part of the park. It is great because that portion of the park isn't open yet and you drive through the shops and countries. Great fun! Also, look into purchasing an Entertainment Book for Orlando area. You can get some good coupons for dining, these can easily recover what you pay for the book, plus it will give you an idea of what is around. Have a great trip!

This past summer we celebrated my birthday at 'Ohana at the Poynesian Resort. We had the reservation on the evening that they had the Wishes Fireworks in the Magic Kingdom. We could see the fireworks & hear the music with it while dining. We also got to see the electric light parade on the water. The food is fabulous. They have a Hawaiin entertainer who the kids & adults really enjoy. The food was fabulous! We had a magical evening. I'm still a big kid at heart, so I enjoy the characters. One of my favorite places is the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom with the Winnie the Pooh Characters. They make your birthday a big deal, the place is beautiful & the buffet is great. The Whispering Canyon Cafe is lots of fun for kids & in a great western setting. The cast members are funny & there are activities for the kids. The ribs are the best ever. The Coral Reef in Epcot is lovely. You get to see marine life swim by in the giant tank while you eat. There is also Sanaa in the Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge. They have floor to ceiling windows where you can see the animals from the savannah walk by. The food is delicious, but I don't know if it would be to your daughter's liking, since it's Africian/Indian cuisine. We did see families with younger children who enjoyed it. You could ask the cast members what they recommend. If you are using Disney transportation just be aware that you need to leave time for travel if you will be dining at a resort since you'll need to change buses at the Transportation & Ticket Center. The restaurants are so great that you could choose 2 restaurants & have individual birthday parties. Food for thought. LOL. I hope you both have magical birthdays that are fit for a Queen & her Princess.

There are so many choices when it comes to Disney. I have some favorites however.

1. California Grill at Contemporary Resort. Make reservation around Wishes time and enjoy view from restaurant balcony/roof. Food is to die for, service is great. Place is always booked so make reservation as soon as you can(before trip).

2. Spirit of Aloha, dinner and show at Polynesian Resort. Traditional hawaiian food(family style) and Hawaiian show with dancers, songs and fire dancing. At some point they will call all Bday people to dance along, very cute esp. for kids.

3. French restaurant on first floor at France(Epcot), do nt remember name. Food is amazing, service is great, no show however.

Anywhere you go(Except Aloha), if you and your doughtierr will wear Bday pins, you will get better table and most likely a cupcake with a candle and all waiters singing Happy Birthday. At some places they sign a Bday card for you. For more options and menues explore Disney.com and Allears.net

The best dinner we had was the character dinner at Epcot at the Land Pavilion. Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale, dressed in farmer clothes. The restaurant revolves as you eat. And it was the best tasting food we had all week.

There is a restaurant in the Morocco pavilion where they have belly dancers while you eat. The food was not what my family enjoys, but the atmosphere was totally fun.

You could go to downtown disney and get a table at T-REX its a themed restaurant with dinosaurs and huge animals everywhere they have a great menu for adults but lots of entertainment and food choices for kids too. They have fun drinks, a sand pit for ''mini archeologists'' they have a 'build-a-dino' workshop and toy store as you come in then loads of tables in different rooms. Make sure you get a reservation though because with a restaurant as good as that one it tends to get busy.

But within the actual disneyworld parks there are plenty of other choices...

there is the restaurant in the the castle in the magic kingdom. There are loads of places to get food dotted around and if you bought food there then near the cars/teacups in magic kingdom's tommorow land there is an ice cream/ dessert place and you could get a sundae there and watch some fireworks.

Also my personal favourite is the 'sci-fi diner' in hollywood studios. It's right near the star wars ride and is a fun place to eat but you might need a reservation...

The sci-fi diner is an indoor restaurant where you sit in convertible cars (or on proper tables if you prefer) and your food is served by rollerskating servers. It is all set out like an outdoor movie theatre and all the cars are facing one huge movie screen that shows movies while you eat, it's soooo much fun.

In Animal Kingdom there are plenty of proper restaurants themed around safari etc. It will be easy to get into any of them.

If you want a really hassle-free arrangement that's fun and easy i'd recommend going to magic kingdom then go up main street... turn right when you're in front of the castle and carry on walking up until you see the mini stream/river/water and there are some benches under arches that light up at night... either in the daytime or nighttime you could wait until they're free which they most regularly are and you could take a cooler bag containing cold food e.g sandwiches, pasta. and some drinks and cakes for your daughter there are many other places you could have a little picnic too. If you go in the daytime then you could go when there is a performance outside the castle or when a parade is on so your daughter has something to watch. Or if you go in the evening then you can watch fireworks while you eat!

Also there is mickey's toontown fair which is ideal for younger children and has loads of fun places for your daughter and you to eat!

You might enjoy Coral Reef at EPCOT. It's a restaurant that's basically inside a giant aquarium. One entire wall is the aquarium wall. You can see tons of fish swimming around and even a giant sea turtle. It is a nicer restaurant, and your daughter might enjoy it as well.

My favorite meal during our Dec trip was at the Kona Cafe in the Polynesian resort. Very child friendly but with upscale qusine. The Tuna Oscar is amazing.

Every restaurant in disney expect kids to dine there. they all have kids menus.

I would go with the Coral Reef in EPCOT. Floor to ceiling aquarium. get atmosphere, good food.
