How to find out where Royal Mail delivered a item?

I sold an ornament on Ebay, and the buyer (in the UK) contacted me to say that they hadnt recieved it. When we looked at the tracking number, it had been delieved and signed for by someone of a different name, and the buyer is adamant that there is no-one of that name at thier house and they dont know anyone of that name. So we need to know what address the parcel was actually delivered to, but the Royal Mail site doesnt state that.

Considering that they never answered when I has a complaint or enquiry, in the past, I honestly don't know what to do. Any advice on this insane "postal service" issue would be appreciated.

The parcel will have been delivered to the address you wrote on the package, I can't imagine why it would be delivered somewhere else but sometimes mistakes are made.

Contact the Royal Mail preferably by telephone and explain the situation. Its in your best interests to be as helpful as possible as they could leave negative feedback on Ebay despite the fact it is not your fault. I state on my auctions that if there is any problem it is up to to buyer to make a claim against the post office.

You will have a copy of the signature on the Royal Mail. There will also be a page where you can claim on their insurance if it has been delivered incorrectly. The SENDER is the one that must make a claim, so you would be best to refund the buyer the money and start a claim.

Chances are they will not find out who signed for it but even if they did it is proving it as I ordered some Oakleys and they were delivered to an address at the other end of the street but they denied ever signing for it even though the postman remembers them signing it. The shop that sent them me claimed through the below link.
