Am I the only parent to consider this??..Missing Madeline?

Poor Madeline McCann...I ..like anyone else wishes this poor little girl could be found safe and well...

HOWEVER...

Buried beneath all the hype and the search campaign..Have we forgotten that these parents drugged their children so that they could have an 'un-interrupted' evening drinking with friends???...If Little Madeline had not been so heavily sedated by her GP mother she would have been able to kick, scream and generally raise the alarm when she was 'abducted'..or so would her sibling/s if they too had not been sedated heavily??.

My heart would normally go out to any parent in this situation,I have 3 of my own..but if you or I drugged our child we would be under investigation by the social services and our children on the protection register quicker than we could say..''living the life of riley on charity donations''!!...Am I the only one that acknowledges this???

Update:

You don't know everything either ELLIE ..It is a proven fact in this case that Madeline was heavily sedated by her GP Mother AND her brother so NO it was NOT a sleeping problem she had..Her parents were not even in the same building..read up on it xx

Update 2:

TAF...Your opinion is exactly what im getting at..''Oh,these parents have gone through enough, leave them alone...THEY PERHAPS WOULD NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH IT IF THEIR LITTLE GIRL WAS NOT SEDATED AND IN DEEP,DRUG INDUCED SLEEP..OMG!!

Update 3:

'...' answerer,I don't know where you got this info from but it speaks volumes doesnt it!!.

Doubt they'll be charged. British media coverage showed empathy and sorrow for the parents from day one. This 100 yards distance from where the kids were left was made to look like it was a few feet away with various camera angles, they emphasized the fact that the kids were being checked on twice hourly as if that was a positive thing, how many times did we hear about the 'distraught parents?!!' Too much emotional energy (and public's money) has been drained on those two. They will just play it up even more in the media if they are charged, and unfortunately I think some people will always support them. Hey they got the celebs now, who needs common folk to support them? That mother is cold. Her eyes are dead when she mentions maddy. And her tearless comment in an interview 'I hope they find madeliene, she's lovely' (!!!!) What!!! She's LOVELY!! Sorry for ranting, kate and gerry need a holiday alright. In jail.

Madeleine McCann was not "drugged up" -- there have been numerous tests done, prescriptions looked at, tests on the younger kids done, they did tests on the traces of her hair they found on things etc - all came back inconclusive, she was not drugged.

You have to get the facts completely straight before you make the assumptions, read the complete story, look at the documentaries and articles, police interviews, etc. All of them will tell you she was no intoxicated.

If she was, if there were even any prescription drugs that hadn't been prescribed by a doctor *outside* the family, if the tests came back positive, if the twins were drugged - that would be a different story.

The story is terribly sad and my heart goes out to the family but in all respect to them, don't base your assumptions about them and the situation off your opinions and not the facts, that's ridiculous.

If this were the case, why wasn't it picked up by the media and more highlighted? I don't remember seeing any mention of this drugging of, or sedating of, her children.

If it really happened as you say it did, the media would have crucified the McCann's relentlessly. And would have made them more suspicious by their actions.

It would be nice for a happy ending here, but this is the biggest mystery of a child to go missing under very strange circumstances ever.

I don't remember hearing that she was drugged. Wouldn't really change the opinion I formed when I first heard that they left the children alone and went out for dinner. I was sad for the situation, but I had no sympathy. I considered it selfish to leave the children to have their alone time.

And, after what I did hear surface, I filed them in the same category as the Ramseys. Suspicious.

they made a mistake, they thought the children would be okay in a locked apartment when they were in a restaurant 100 yards away, thats only the length of a football field, and they took turns checking on them every 10-15 minutes. there is NO evidence that the children were drugged, that is completely madeup. leave these poor people alone. and even if the story your telling is true, a 4 year old could have never overpowered an adult.

Hmm, i have considered this, yes. But was it actually proven that the children were sedated?

All a kidnapper would be able to do would put their hand over her mouth and that's that.As much as I disagree with drugging a child, it would a piece of cake to go unnoticed.

It was never proven that they were sedated. The other children were not tested for drugs, and no sedation was found.
