how to make fishing wire straight :D?

im using fishing wire to hang acetate (clear, light plastic paper type of thing) but the problem is the fishing wire curvs in, and i need to make it straight so it looks good. will i need to weight it down with anything to make it straight? any help will be appreciated, thank you! :)

    you are talking about string memory, it's kinda like wraping a bread tie around your finger if you slide it off it will still remain in the basic shape of your finger. the thicker the string the more memory it will have, also cheap string has a higher memory. use as low as a test as you can get that will still support the project. if you have to use the string you have try running it along a sharp edge kinda like curling a ribbon for a present. this will help to remove the memory of the string being on the spool.
