Dog help needed. sores and itching from fleas?
I went on a vacation for a week and had to leave my dog at someone elses house, The dog was treated with frontline but was prob due to be reapplied when i left. I came back and my dog was covered with fleas prob from the neighbors house. I treated the dog and got all the fleas off before i left to come home with a flea shampoo bath, a flea comb and flee stuff behind her sholders. Now my prob that i need help with.
What can i put on her to get all of these sores, raw spots, and itchyness gone so she quits itching.

Many pet stores sell moisturizing pet shampoo (something with oatmeal, etc.), and you can get some medicated shampoo/ointment from your vet. However, it may just take time so the sores go away and she'll stop itching. Make sure her sores don't get infected by her itching.

Your Vet is probably the best place for advice on this, but please do remember to treat the places your dog sits, sleeps ect as fleas have a six week cycle and can easily reinfect your dog.

go to your vet and ask for a head collar (a cone shaped collar fits round her head) to keep her from scratching. they can also give advice on bathing using special shampoo to treat these raw spots.
going to the vet will also rule out mange. this is caused by mites and raw spots and hair loss appear on the dog. they itch too because it is so uncomfortable. she will need to be treated medically for this with special bathing so take her to the vets for a check.
this is the cone i was referring to: http://www.canineconcepts.co.uk/item--Comfy-Cone-V...
the vets will probably provide you one made from plastic for free but your dog may not like to wear it for a few days! you were probably provided with one if she had ever had an operation to stop her licking her wounds.
and remember to keep searching weekly for fleas and ticks and treat her often
