Why are people scared of the deceased?

I have been working with death since I was very little, in fact I have been dealing with the deceased relatives of people since I was 4 years of age. We are a family of Undertakers with our business for some 20 years and in that time I have seen people become increasingly more fearful of the sight of the deceased, despite the fact that they're generally presented in a manner that makes them appear to be alive or alive to some extent.

Is it perhaps the shifting social attitudes toward death and the way in which we deal with it or is death slowly becoming a tabooed subject?

Please provide me with some serious answers.

I would guess that the shift away from Christianity has left people with a feeling of dread not knowing what has happened to their loved one, not knowing what will happen to them...

20 years ago there was a greater sense of peace passing from this life to the next, but America has rejected the peace they had in Christ.

"In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

In different phrases, she's having a dream approximately this man who used to be murdered however the flawed character used to be accused and despatched to demise row. That's it slow gadget. Then the golf green photo at the dreamer's laptop is a photo that wasn't at first at the rough force.... Hmmm on moment concept that maybe just a little to intricate. Then once more, your tale is a little bit contrived too.

LOL! I dont fear the dead. The dead dont do home invasions nor perform acts of terrorism.

Some people can not/will not accept their mortality. Look at the obsession with appearance and youth in the West. We try to delay aging as much as possible. We have unhealthy attitudes towards the middle-aged and elderly. Everyone ages, everyone gets grey hair, everyone will one day die. Death is part of life; without death, there is NO life.
