I suppose that Joe Mauer was on steroids last year then too, cause he's never hit 20 HR's in a season before... NO. He was injured, and leaned back a little to relieve some of the pain, and it led to more HR's. Bautista on the other hand, has just found his swing. Stephen explained it best.

He has always had power, his Pittsburgh teammates have always said that and managers and trainers have always said that but he wasn't hitting them. The Jays signed him and worked with his swing, he changed it a lot since last year. His swing was terrible and was he started playing with it in August and September, he started to hit more home runs.

Now he is the Major League leader, it is his swing.

Its possible he is and its possible he finally learned how to hit the ball. Lets hope MLB did their jobs and tested him a few times over the year. Knowing Bud though he hasnt because he is to worried about big names.

No, I think it's just a freak season...he did change the way he swung and everything so maybe he's hit his stride
