Central Park is the most visited city-owned park in the US. But it is actually very small, only 843 acres. It's not even the largest city park in New York. That would be Pelham Bay Park at 2,766 acres.
Golden Gate Park is 1,017 acres. And neither are as large as Philadelphia's Fairmount Park at 4,100 acres. Fairmount Park is the largest city-owned park in the US.
