Anyone else having trouble finding live games of modern warfare 2?

Question

in the last 3 weeks we noticed a massive drop off in players and now we cant find any games? it either searches for ages or says no games found. we havnt changed our net or anything so not sure whats going on.Iv also tried testing my connection a few times and its fine cause i can find games in a few seconds on call of duty 5. any clues?

Players have become fed up with all the cheating in MW2 and have walked away, myself included. Prior to this weekend, I hadn't played it in about a month. I tried to cash in on double xp weekend but after poor matchmaking and several rounds, I realized I was better off without it (the game).

I would try deleting the game data that contains all the updates (you might have to re download the DLC's if you bought them. Not a prob on PS3)

Apart from that, yeah me and my buddy have found the match making has gotten insanely terrible this last while. Not that it was good to begin with, but it is really shocking. Im talking 8 tries before we are both in a lobby that doest crash or anything lol.

I noticed some connection issues last week on PSN, i'd connect to a game no problems, mic chat would be up and running, noisy as always, maybe one or two 'host migration' pauses then halfway thru a game of domination, everything goes quiet, hardly any gunfire no chat... 
...It's only then i realise that my team have lost connection and there's only me and one man left in my squad v's 5or6 of the enemy Oh dear, not good for your KDR...
Maybe Microsoft has started hitting hard by banning more modded consoles/accounts?

Maybe their servers are being worked on or something...I'd play something else for a while and try getting back on later.  I'd like to help more, but I'm assuming that since you say "live games" in the question you are referring to xbox live, and I only have mw2 for the ps3.

Wellll taking intoo account that modern warfare 2 is fulll offf sweaty try hard campers , they probs realisedd thatttt the new black ops will shortly be released soo they went to get *** much sleep as they can :)

I had this subject too.Mabee this would help. attempt unpluging your modem and router for 30 seconds then plug them back in router first then the modem a pair seconds later. with your X field on. Then bypass to settings on your dashboard and bypass to community placing and restoration default settings.some cases this would help. another ingredient is your REP in case you have a realy undesirable REP ,everybody has prevented you .yet thats probable no longer the case.

maybe your client is not updated , i had that issue once , after running an update it fixed the problem
