Anyone recently qualified as a geography teacher?

Anyone recently qualified as a geography teacher?

None of the teacher training programmes (SCITT, GTP etc) seem to want geography teachers. looks like a PGCE is the only option at the moment. Anyone got experience of this to share?

Thanks in advance.

Update:

Edit - I'm already aware that I need a degree.

Get a degree first and then look for a placement program or do further studies in education. You will have more options than if you went through a training program and will be more respected by employers.
