When answering questions can I find out the Country the person is from.?

It gets a bit confusing if you think the person is from the Uk, when in fact you find out later that they are from the USA, and the answer you gave is not relevant to the USA.

It will say where the question was asked under the question if it was asked from a different country than where you are signed up or on at that time.

This question says "This question about "When answering quest…" was originally asked in Yahoo! Answers United Kingdom".

If it had been asked from Canada there wouldn't be anything about where it was asked under the question as my account is on the Canadian site.

If you are on another site when you ask or answer wherever you are at that time is where the question shows as being asked from.

Sorry no you do not know which country the answerer is from when they answer your question unless they add in the answer itself. It is only when you go to answer a question that the country of the asker is shown.

If you want to ask a particular question about e.g. the UK, then it is always best to add UK only somewhere in the question.

This answerer is from the UK.
