Are the new Avatar's ugly, or is it just me?

You know you are right about the gray squares that they are at least smiling. The exclamation points are supposed to be making a statement, I guess. But, when we do, make a statement, we get sent to the community guidelines and get violated. Sounds a little ironic to me.

I wasn't sure what the exclamation point was for at first and I'm not sure I know now but I do like the colors and I just wish yahoo would offer more colors in them.

For the most part I like them but then I am also an artist and I like bold design .

Better than the nasty ,ugly, offensive choices some people use.

The only thing I don't like is the anonymous view , but that is true of the square happy face too. I really don't like that one,

They were a bit jarring at first, but I'm getting used to them. Remember when the revised fifty dollar bill, then the twenty, came out in the 90's? Nobody liked them, and now the old ones look funny.

Yeah, they really are, they make me dizzy, I prefer the gray square face to these new ones..if I have to look at a bland picture period..:)) LOL

How can I get one? I'm fed up of the smiley grey face. That's the problem with being a technophobe.

I would not mind posting a different avatar, but I'm using an iphone that doesn't upload.

The remedy to that would be to upload your own avatar, but that requires a little imagination.

I quite like them. I thought a long line of grey faces asking questions looked .....scary!

started in oct. either they need to go to the trouble of making an avatar, either way you know they are new..gotta be a little jaded sometimes.

when there is a whole category filled with questions by people with new avatars it looks like an exert from Dr. Seuss... *sigh*
