What do H G E 3G mean on my mobile?

The H should be hsdpa or hspa which is basically just full 3g speeds. I would have thought the phone displayed either 3g or H. Not shifting between them, so im not sure what's happening there

G stands for GPRS and E is for EDGE which are 2.5 G connections. If you are getting these it means that your cell provider hasn't upgraded all their towers to 3G.
