Can Yahoo place ads on the page? Yes.

Can people ask a question that is an advertisement? No. Not according to the community guidelines. That question should be reported for abuse.

Of course it is. Here's just an example for yahoo real estate:

Edit: Lad, read very this very carefully: Look to the right side of your screen. You should see a box with an ad in it. Of course advertising is permitted, yahoo staff probably put the ads up there in the first place. In fact, I think yahoo probably values their clients that pay to have their ads up there. Greg.

I wouldn't have believed that advertising on yahoo answers was appropriate for this site and if it is happening it should be stopped, I for one do not want adverts on a site where we are trying to help one another. I learn a lot from the questions asked and from the answers given, can't understand what that has to do with adverts, if it is hapening I hope some one knows who to contact to get it stopped. many thanks for asking this question.

Source(s): just sickened by the level of advertising in general, it seems to be dominating every aspect of our lives.

    No

You should click the "Report Abuse" link and mark it Spam

Giving it a thumbs down does nothing.

This is what most people do, and thats part of what keeps it going

Yahoo says they catch 95% of it, so you can imagine.

I read this week, 80% of all email is spam.
