Turtle is eating tank neutraliser?

I just put a dissolving tank neutraliser with calcium in the tank and my yellow bellied turtle is eating it! Should I take it out or will she be ok?

Thanks for your help!

A good filter, and decent water to start with is all you need for a turtle tank. Do water changes using rain water if possible as it's missing the chemicals which get put in tap water, and the hardness. Add some live plants to help keep the water quality good, just make sure you buy the cheap ones as they WILL get eaten ;)

Can you dissolve it in a cup of water seperately, and then add the solution to the tank?

That way the turtle couldn't eat it while it's solid.

i have that in mine as well but my turtle would never eat it XDXD its not made to be turtle tasty even....

i dont think its poisonous....but its certainly not healthy. just to make sure, dont let her eat it. do you really need that for the water? i just use it if the turtle has left food in the water too often without me noticing /cleaning.

What is that for, like fish dechlorinator ?

That isn't usually needed for turtles.
