Very promising, better than many adults with their expensive DSLRs. LOVE "Photographers", ... shows an awareness of things a little "outside the box". While it is true, they are mainly random snapshots, an 11 year old is not really going to be thinking in terms of a series and themes. Nothing wrong with these shots, not one eyeball, or tops of tennis shoes, or mirror self portraits in the bunch! I would say there is an awareness of photography as an art and not just another electronic toy creating "pix" to do "photoshopping" with. Good work!

Well...I will say I can tell there is influence from you, and that he understands some of the concepts behind photography, however I can tell that you've not yet passed on all of your secrets.

I know the studio environment can be quite blue (no pun intended) place, but I think when possible you should start introducing him into that, should he be interested in photography. I say this because your real strengths as a photographer are definitely in a studio environment, and it is there where you will naturally teach your son more just by osmosis.

At his age, if he' s having fun and enjoying himself, nurture the interest. He's got the bug of exploring the world through the lens, and things will make a natural progress. In time if he still enjoys taking pictures, help him to upgrade his equipment and teach him how to capture the shots in the way he's obviously trying to now.

Good Luck and Keep him Shooting !!

    Not a lot really.

In the main just snaps with nothing much to really commend them.

The point of focus on the tulip is wrong.

Varied. I'd somehow expect more studio work from you. There's a few where I would have gone for a lower viewpoint though

the "tulip" is good. but most are snapshots. you could work on different angles and try alternate lighting.
