Can you BBM to other countries?
Basically I talk alot to someone in America and I come from England.
As we're unable to text, we thought it'd be good if we could BBM.
Therefore I only want a cheap blackberry, probably this one unless anyone else has a better suggestion?

If I bought it on one of the contracts on there, would that mean I could BBM to America or would I need something else? I have no idea, and I need to purchase the phone in the next couple of weeks.

If anyone has an opinion, do you think it would be better to buy the phone and then get a contract, or pay for the phone WITH the contract?

The BlackBerry curve 8520 is a good phone for the price!
You could use BBM if you pay an extra £5 a month for a bolt-on (so you can use the blackberry services) and if he bought a blackberry and you were contacts together! Then you could text for completly free!

Hi
I work for O2 in tech support all you need is a blackberry bolt on, usually about £5 per month. This then allows you to use the blackberry services such as BBM.
BBM can be used anywhere in the world free of charge and you can talk to anyone in the world free of charge as it uses the Blackberry servers rather than the mobile providers servicers. Thats why you need a special bolt on to make it work.

no longer something. BBM to BBM is loose. of direction it would in simple terms be between Blackberry to Blackberry purchasers. no longer lots help if the different guy or woman has the different telephone or does not have a Blackberry archives plan.
