Remove taste of lubricant grease from coffee machine?

I recently had my LaPavoni Europicola machine serviced. It needed all it's seals replaced and the technician also greased several of the metal pieces in the milk-frothing mechanism. Problem is, now everything that comes out of the machine (water, coffee, milk) smells and tastes like lubricating grease! The machine was serviced by a reputable specialist, so they presumably used food-grade grease (which I thought was supposed to be odourless and tasteless). I've rinsed the machine through with several full cisterns of water, but the nasty taste and smell remains. Any suggestions? (also posted in household maintenance and repairs)

Update:

New Town (which is two separate words) in Hobart, C.M.C.

Duchess, before you start adding things through that machine, call the service department, and ask them for their advice. They serviced it, they remedy it. I notice the word "New Town", is that Newtown in Sydney?

Pour one cup of vinegar into the machine and add the rest with water and run it through. Then run just plain water through and see if that does the trick.

Run vodka through it that should work!
