can you get a loan on income support?
I have recently split with my partner and have 2 young children, i am currently in receipt of income support etc untill my youngest is old enough for me to work. However my car is knackered (great timing!) and i need to get a new one. I need to find someone to loan me the money (approx £4000) or finance company? Anyone have any ideas who will loan to someone on benefits?

Try applying for a budgeting loan from the job centre, only people on income support can do this, what they do is if your successful they take a small amount from your income support benefit to repay it, I did it and they are taking 17 quid a week

You could certainly try a Credit Union if you have one locally
However you must open an account with them first
